Information gathering
To begin the 1583 form notarization process, you must have at least 2 documents on hand that identify you.
Permitted documents:
- Passport.
- Valid driver's license or state identification card.
- Identification card from the armed forces, government, university or a recognized company.
- Alien registration card or certificate of naturalization.
- Current lease, mortgage, or deed of trust.
- Voter ID or vehicle registration.
- Home or vehicle insurance policy.
- Credit cards, social security card and birth certificates
How to Complete Form 1583 Notarization
Note: You can complete the notarization process with any authorized notary, however, we recommend using the process described below to complete a more efficient and faster notarization.

Log into the mail management platform
To log into our Mail Management platform you can follow the instructions in this article. -
Get the pre-filled form 1583
GBS Group will take care of loading the 1583 form with the fields you need directly into your mail management account.
To obtain it, you can go to your profile by clicking on "My account", and locate the field "USPS Form 1583", there you will have the option to download the form pre-loaded by GBS Group. (See photo, squares in red)

Go to NotaryCam
Once you have downloaded your pre-filled 1583 form, you can go to the NotaryCam portal www.notarycam.com to start the notarization process, by clicking on "Get Started" in one of the available options.
Note: For residents or citizens of the United States, the cost of notarization is $25/document, for foreigners the cost is $79/document.
NotaryCam accepts credit/debit cards or Paypal as payment methods, you must have one of these payment methods to complete the notarization, you must also have a webcam and microphone to verify your identity.
4. Continue with the process within NotaryCam
When you click on "Get Started" you will be presented with a series of options depending on the type of document you want to notarize, in this case click on "I HAVE A SINGLE SIGNER NON-REAL ESTATE DOCUMENT REQUEST" (see photo)
5. Create an account on NotaryCam and complete the notarization
You will need to create a free account with NotaryCam, please follow the instructions provided by the platform and connect with an online notary.
6. Send the notarized document back to GBS Group
When you have completed the notarization process you will need to submit the 1583 form back to GBS Group for validation and approval.
When your document is approved, you will be able to start receiving and managing correspondence within the Virtual Address platform.
